Telescope Material Selection

Due to various environmental parameters such as the fluctuating solar loading, the materials used to construct the telescope equipped aboard satellites must be considered and evaluated. Common options include titanium, graphite composite, silicon carbide, Al-SiC, AlBeMet, and Beryllium. [1]
